Homemade with love!

As many of you know, I absolutely love to bake!  I'm not going to lie... one of my favorite parts of baking is sharing what I make with friends and family and hearing how much they enjoyed it.  There is really nothing more gratifying for me.  I've been thinking lately that it would be fun to have little stickers to put on baked goods I give away saying something like "baked by Laura."  I looked at a ton of stamps and things online but couldn't find anything I really loved.  So, I decided to get a little crazy and make some myself.  This was my first real try at doing something like this and I obviously have a lot to learn, but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out so I thought I'd share.  Let me know if you'd like some... I'd love to do it again!

Giddyup!

Well Phillip's party was so much fun!!!  We had about 40 people in our not so huge house, but we are party people so we always feel like the more the merrier.  I think I mentioned before that I've been mentally planning this party for some time so it was exciting to have it finally come.  I'm not sure that Phillip had any clue the party was for him, but he had a great time anyway and he LOVED his cake.

Bear with me here because I took a lot of pictures!  I made almost everything for the party myself so I'll have to make a post soon with details on that.  In the meantime, enjoy!

Can't wait for next year!!

In the last year...

Wow... I can't believe I'm writing this post.  One year ago, I was due to have our baby boy.  His birthday isn't until Saturday, but I know I'm going to be crazy busy on that day with his party!  I went into labor on the 7th, one day after my due date and gave birth to Phillip Brian Kelleher 50 HOURS LATER :)  He weighed 7 lbs and was 20 inches long.

To my sweet baby boy:  One year ago, my life changed forever.  One year ago, I went through the hardest thing I've ever done to get the greatest joy I've ever known.  You are such a smart, sweet, and special boy.  I am so lucky to be your mommy and try to tell you that every single day.  It has been such a blessing to watch you grow and change over the last year and I can't wait to see what you become.  Always, always remember that I love you so much.
