Fashion Friday: Holiday Clothes for Littles on a Budget

Happy Friday everyone!!! Y'all I am embarrassed to admit this, but it's time to get something off my chest: I am a baby clothes addict. There. I've said it, whew.  Feels so much better to have that out in the open :)

I really love sweet classic fashions for my littles, especially around holidays.  The best way I've discovered to keep my littles in the cutest clothes is to plan ahead.  If I have to shop last minute, I may find myself walking into a local boutique and paying $70 for an outfit and I just can't afford to be doing that!  If you can swing it, this is the best time of year to shop for kid's clothes.  I stock up now and in January for the whole next winter and get such a cute wardrobe for a song!

One great resource is consignment sales.  There is an amazing consignment sale here in Houston called Smockaholics Anonymous.  They hold it twice a year and I have found some pristine Kelly's Kids and other beautiful things for $15 an outfit.

My latest find is an online kids boutique called Smocked Overstocks.  I've already picked up three Christmas outfits as well as a Thanksgiving outfit for each little... matching of course!  Check out these finds, all for under $30 an outfit:

Thanksgiving matching longall and bishop dress.

Ornament embroidered dress and matching polo/corduroys.  Check out that cute ricrac!

This is a close up so you can see the quality of the embroidery.  This is hand smocked!

I'm a sucker for these little gators!

I plan to have the little jumper mongramed and mongram a white polo or tee to go with Phillip's pants.

Janie and Jack will be having their amazing twice a year sale in January and that is another place I stock up, especially for more casual play clothes.  It seems like you're spending a lot when you do all of your shopping twice a year, but at places like Janie and Jack you usually pay less than half of the normal prices.  RagsLand is another place to snap up deals this time a year.  They have great basics like corduroy and gingham pants for boys and little knit dresses for girls.  Ordinarily I think they're pretty overpriced, but this time of year you can pick up pants for cheaper than it would be for me to sew them!  Right now they are $20 a pair, but if you sign up for their emails I'm 100% certain there will be a coupon code soon and I'll bet you can get them 30% off.

Ok, that's all for today.  Do y'all like to shop like this and stock up?  Any great deals I should know about??  Have a great weekend!
